Chapter 11 reorganization

Chapter 11 reorganization allows a company to continue in operation even though its creditors don't get all the money they are owed. Ususally the officers of the bankrupt company continue to run the company and continue to collect their pay during and after reorganization. Should reorganization be allowed, or should a bankrupt company be killed off and the assets sold or distributed for the benefit of the creditors?
