What are some changes that might take place with death, dying and bereavement in the 21st century. What do you think will happen in the next 100 years? Will people grieve in the same manner as today? Will euthanasia become more common? Will the hospice movement continue to grow? What about funeral service? Will we see the traditional funeral begin to go by the wayside with more families leaning toward direct cremation and a memorial service or maybe no service at all? What will be the challenges facing funeral directors in the future? If fewer and fewer people choose the traditional manner of disposition, how will funeral directors adjust to the loss of revenue created by an increase in cremation? Please share your thoughts.
