use of a categorization for mental disorders

 What are your thoughts on the use of a categorization for mental disorders?  It is a highly controversial topic. Some are in favor of it and some are highly against the classification system. What are your thoughts?

 

Many of the personality theories are diametrically opposed (e.g., psychoanalytical and humanistic). What are some of the strengths and weaknesses of three of the theories? With which theory do you most identify?
