a. A girl and boy are going on a picnic. It is the boy’s idea. He says it will be a lovely sunny day, but when they get the food out, big storm clouds come. It rains, the food gets all wet. The girl says, “It’s a lovely day for a picnic”.
b. Johnny is about twelve months old and when his mother drops him at daycare he doesn’t really care she has left. He chooses to play in the corner with just a toy truck which he just puts in his lap. Other children play on the car mats move around the room. When his mom returns at 5:00 p.m. to pick him up, he doesn’t really get that excited to see her.
c. Lucas is a preschool child that enjoys daycare. He loves toy cars and frequently shares his car with his friend, Shawn. His friend returns by sharing his car with Lucas. They busily zoom the cars separately all over the toy mat.
d. Mikayla loves her mommy, she gets very upset when she leaves and smiles when she returns. While it is hard for her to go into anyone else’s arms, she is warming up to her daddy.
e. You are walking to the front of the school assembling to receive an award. You trip on a friends chair and fall ending up on the floor. You stand up and hit your friend, thinking “how dare your friend make a fool you in front of everyone”.
f. Cheryl found a group of baby kittens with their eyes not yet open, as she searched for their mother, she found a half starved cat. She took the family in and because the mother was so thin, she could not produce much milk; therefore, Cheryl fed the kittens by bottle for many weeks. Now seven-weeks old, in her house they travel behind her, meow when she leaves them, and when she comes home they run to her like a mother cat.
