Personal and Social Responsibility

Introduction to Psychology fulfills the second requirement for Personal and Social Responsibility (PRS2) under general education; everyone is required to provide 5 hours of service to the community. This involves helping your community in any one of a number of ways. This is not a narrow requirement but rather you can volunteer for any of a number of community service projects. The service can be completed in a number of ways and does not have to be completed at one time or one location.

Write a short service project paper (at least two pages of body) to verify and to summarize your service experience. The body of the paper should include three sections: 1) descriptions of the activity or activities, 2) your thoughts about the experience, and 3) discussion of a connection between the service project and the psychological concepts studied this semester.
