Conduct an observational study of older adults. Observe social interactions between older adults that occur in public settings, e.g., shopping malls, grocery stores, public transportation. Choose two or three behaviors that you are most interested in observing, such as conversational turns, body language, or personal space. If possible, compare interactions between people from different cultures. Compare people of the same age vs. interactions between an older and younger person.
