Final Project Topic is Schizophrenia

Research Question: Is psychosocial therapy effective in reducing negative symptoms in adults diagnosed with schizophrenia?

Using the template provided, identify your proposed research question and submit short summaries of two quantitative studies, two qualitative studies, one mixed methods study, one single case design and two program evaluation or action research study that you intend to use in your Final Project. Articles must come from counseling or specialization specific peer-reviewed journals and must be published within the past ten years. 

You will need to provide your research question, the rationale for your topic, and a description of the literature search, including key words and databases used.

Each summary should begin with the proper APA reference. Respond to the following questions in your summary:

• How will the source help you respond to the research question?
• What type of design was used in the study?
• What components of the study confirm the design type?
• What are the strengths and limitations of the research design as used in the selected study?
• How does the research methodology of the study inform counseling practice?

Annotated Bibliography

In this section, identify the proposed research topic you intend to use in your Final Project. You will need to provide your research question, rationale for your topic, and a description of the literature search, including key words and databases utilized. Articles must come from school counseling or specialization-specific peer-reviewed journals published within the last ten years.

In Week 5, you will only submit the first draft of the introduction section and the qualitative and quantitative studies. In Week 8, you will make any corrections to the material submitted in Week 5, and submit the remaining annotations for single case/time series design and project evaluation or action research studies.
