i am taking a criminal justice course

i am taking a criminal justice course 506 at Grambling State university. I dont understand the reads which makes the reading assigments difficult for me to understand.  Answers should come from the book entitled Deviant Behavior: A Text-Reader in the Sociology of Deviance by Edward J. Clarke 7th edition. Here is a question that has to be answered. This question came from article called: Drifting into dealing: Becoming a Cocaine Seller by Sheigla Murphy, Dan Waldorf, Craig Reinarman

 Question:  Summarize Becker's four-step model of deviant careers as it relates to the cocaine sellers in the study by Murphy, et al. Also,as the respondents moved deeper into the seller career path, what was the  significance of "drift" (Matza) into and out of deviance for their self-concept development.
