Slaves are forced to work on various tasks from labor to prostitution. According to the United Nations, estimates that 27 million people today are currently caught in this industry. Human trafficking in the United States goes mostly unnoticed or unreported. Domestic trafficking includes methods of coercion and involuntary servitude debt.”sex traffickers use violence, threats, lies, debt bondage, and other forms of coercion to compel adults and children to engage in commercial sex acts against their will. Under U.S federal law, any minor under the age of 18 years old induced into commercial sex is a victim of sex trafficking-regardless of wheater or not the trafficking used force, fraud, or coercion (Polaris 1) Federal law enforcement agaencies work on trafficking cases under civil rights programs and crimes against children programs federal law condems slavery perpetrated by trafficking. However, stripping the rights of felons and creating slaves of the state is not a criminal act according to the same law. The distribution of people against their will grievous but isn’t completely different from legal servitude.

Human trafficking has been going on for decades. The demand of human trafficking has not decrease since founding fathers used slaves or when Egypt used slaves to build their cities. This industry isn’t the same as the regular market because real time supply and demand are unknown to the public. Motivations for these barbaric actions stems from money and political aspirations. The more people they abduct from unsteady countries can result in more disruptions and profits in regions of operations. Trafficking based prostitution is very common in the United States; perpetrators are more likely to meet their victims on social media. They begin to talk to the victim to gain the victim’s trust. Then the victim is steadily introduced them into prostitution and then relocate them to places like Las Vegas where prostitution is legal. Trafficking can be accomplished through diverse types of traffickers. This is ranging from organized crimes to individuals. The United Nations get an alert when an abductee is moving across the nation’s borders to another country, this is called “transnational organized crime”. Some transnational organized crimes involve a entity of networks operating in in more than one country, and plan to accomplish illegal business enterprise operations. These criminals may have organized their brackets to a lesser or greater extent globally.; victims of trafficking may have been trafficked by an individual working in a local community. The United Nations 2014 statistics on trafficking reports. The profits that human trafficking can generates the prime motivation for the criminals, and exploding other people can be lucrative. Just as profit potential is an important consideration for most legitimate businesses, and for traffickers, who have a strong financial incentive to operate where profits are being high. At the same time, traffickers also have to take into account costs and the risks of detection, which can tend to increase as more money territory and international borders are traversed (THE U.N. 15).
