genocide, drug cartels

Today we are bombarded with events that might lead one to believe the world, and humans, are basically evil - genocide, drug cartels, the recent riots and rapes in India and Cologne. But then we have the other side of human nature and see great acts of kindness and charity - people helping strangers during the recent flooding int he midwest, taking in refugees, etc. So the question this thread is asking is anything but clear. So as you construct your response remember, its not your conclusion that's most important - its the reasoning your use and the proof you present that is key. I look forward to seeing what your present on this first dilemma.
