7 Reasons Social Media in the Workplace can Help Employees The article I choose for last week is advantages of using social media in at
workplace during business hours by (Jeanetta, 2017). Most companies today do not
allow their employees to spend some of the work time for social media Facebook,
Instagram, Tweeter, and Snapchat the reason for that is using social media may
affect on worker performance. According to Jeanetta, 2017 article, there are several
advantages to letting employees spending some time into using social media. First,
allows employees to take the mental break, which means helping the worker get
some rest and refresh them to start over with high performance (Jeanetta, 2017).
Second, enables employees to make and support proposal connection, by keeping
employee’s relationship with their friends, relatives, and families, and that would
gain new ideas, and new information could improve company’s status (Jeanetta,
2017). Third, employees can ask the question and solve problems; social media
could help employees to solve their difficult work problem (Jeanetta, 2017).
Moreover, build the strong relationship between employees and coworker, improve
employees recognize and retain talented (Jeanetta, 2017). Finally, “enhance
information discovery and delivery, employees can use social media as a
form of communication to discover and deliver job-related information”
(Jeanetta, 2017).
In the end, employers can improve their products and enhance
company’s profit by let employees use social media in the workplace. Reference
