For this assignment, you will create a formal outline that includes an introduction, body, conclusion, and transitions. Follow the specific assignment guidelines given to you by your instructor, which will appear below or be given to you in class. As your textbook explains in chapter 3, speeches of self-introduction are a common type of speech that you will make in your career as a public speaker. You have probably made an informal speech of self-introduction many times in your life when you meet new people or when you go on a job interview. The kind of speech you will be outlining for EN116 is a formalized version of this same kind of speech. Follow the outline guide on page 190 of your textbook to draft a full-sentence speech about yourself. Give your speech an introduction that does the following: Gains the attention of the audience States your thesis Previews the main points of your speech Give your speech 3 BODY PARAGRAPHS. Each body paragraph should be connected to the one that comes after it with TRANSITIONS. Give your speech a conclusion that does the following: Reviews briefly the body of the speech Ends on a strong note
