The following is the scenario:
Â
You are working in a primary care office with five physicians. The office has been using a basic EHR and has been happy with it, but one of the physicians wants to add some clinical decision support tools. He was told the EHR had the capability for clinical decision support (CDS), but that he and his colleagues would have to decide what kind of CDS they wanted and how it would be used. He has asked for your advice.  Using what you have learned from the presentation and the readings, do the following:
Â
1. Select a type of CDS that you would recommend and explain your choice.
2. Â Identify the factors that need to be considered in planning for implementing the CDS.
3. Â Make recommendations to the physician on how to address each of the factors.
