Educational media, including television, computers, and the Internet, are features of most children’s lives in industrialized nations. Watching educational TV is associated with gains in early literacy and math skills, but heavy viewing of entertainment TV detracts from children’s school success and social experiences (Berk & Meyers, 2016).
