Watch one of the documentaries in the first column of the table below. Be sure to watch the entire video. If it has multiple chapters, you must watch all of them.

Write a 2- to 3-page essay that describes how the person or group in the second column demonstrated the characteristics of the developmental stage in the third column.

Your essay must conform to the following criteria:

  1. Begin with an introductory paragraph that briefly (in one to three sentences) summarizes who the person was.
  2. The last sentence in the introductory paragraph must be, “[Person(s)] in [name of documentary] demonstrated the characteristics of [stage name].” For example, “John O’Neill in The Man Who Knew demonstrated the characteristics of Erikson’s generativity versus stagnation stage.”
  3. The introductory paragraph must be followed by three paragraphs in which you describe three different examples from the video that support the thesis statement.
  4. Your essay must conclude with a paragraph that briefly recaps the essay.
