Description

I need help creating a presentation:

Description

Students will select a controversial topic in parenting and explore this topic from a multidisciplinary perspective using information gathered from reliable government websites and peer-reviewed scholarly journals available from the UMUC Library. You will examine why the topic is relevant in modern parenting and identify the psychological, sociological, cross-cultural, and legal/policy issues associated with the topic. You will also apply your knowledge of parenting theory to explain why this issue is important to today’s parent.

The presentation

Your presentation can take any form you choose that is conducive to an online format. This includes narrated slide shows (PowerPoint). A list of references in APA format must be provided with your presentation. All images and facts require citation. Ideally, you should use at least 10 credible sources, including the references you summarized in Week 3. All of your sources must be credible, but you can include non-scholarly sources provided you include at least 5 scholarly sources. Use the rubric presented below to structure your work. Be sure to touch upon each required component to earn as many points as you can.

Discussion questions

In addition to your presentation, you will post a discussion question about your topic for your classmates.  Your question should be open-ended and thought-provoking to ensure a rich discussion. Throughout the week, each student should monitor the comments generated by his/her discussion question and respond to the comments accordingly.
