A 13-ft-high, 16-in-thick concrete wall is to be cast with a boom pump. Dimensions and layout of the wall, which is to serve as a protecting wall around a gas tank, are shown in the drawing below. The tank’s height is lower than the wall’s height. A 7-ft 8-in wide strip surrounding the structure is needed for the diagonal bracing of the wall’s side form work plus a minimal safety clearance. No part of the pump truck is allowed within this strip. Is it possible to use the boom pump illustrated in Fig. 16.17 for this pour if thepump truck is to be located throughout the pour in one position only?
