Theories and Worldview.

I need help writing a paper on Theories and Worldview.

PSYC 210 T HEORIES AND W ORLDVIEW A SSIGNMENT I NSTRUCTIONS This assignment provides an opportunity for you to examine developmental theories in light of foundational beliefs/worldview. First: Watch the Overview of Developmental Theories presentation found in your Reading and Study folder in Module/Week 1. Use the Theories and Worldview worksheet as you watch the presentation to reinforce the concepts presented (this optional worksheet will help to prepare for this assignment; it will not be submitted for a grade). Second: Read about developmental theories and theorists in your textbook. There is a space on the worksheet to record one descriptive quote related to each theory. Again, this will help reinforce the concepts you are studying, but this will not be submitted for a grade. Third: Write a 4-paragraph essay addressing the concepts outlined below. Your essay must contain 600–800 words. Refer to the sample paper for further instructions, and use the sample paper as a template if you are not familiar with APA formatting. Paragraph One The Importance of Worldview Your introductory paragraph must define worldview and tell why it is important to the study of developmental psychology. Paragraph Two Compatible Theory Describe the basic concepts of 1 theory that is compatible with your worldview, and tell why it is compatible. Provide statements to support your position. You may use information from the textbook, course materials, life experience, or Scripture. Cite any information that would not be considered common knowledge. Paragraph Three Incompatible Theory Describe the basic concepts of 1 theory that is NOT compatible with your worldview, and tell why it is NOT compatible. Provide statements to support your position. You may use information from the textbook, course materials, life experience, or Scripture. Cite any information that would not be considered common knowledge. Paragraph Four Reflection and Summary Summarize your thoughts related to this discussion by reflecting on what you have learned about theories, worldview, and the value of critical analysis in the study of psychology. Submit this assignment by 11:59 p.m. (ET) on Monday of Module/Week 1.
