(319 John) I believe a stable state is the solution to fight terrorism and in turn stop the lone wolf trend. What steps can we take to a more middle east region?

This question comes from this statement:

As Muslims begin to feel isolated, rejected and discriminated against there is always an increase risk for individuals to convert to racial Islam and carry our lone wolf attacks. Although there is a lot of justification for the new travel bans by our current administration, one of the unintended consequences could very well be scenarios found in this paradigm. One of the examples in the report was in 2010 of 21-year old Roshonara Choudhry, who stabbed a member of parliament after being radicalized online by lectures by Anwar al-Awalki who specifically was calling for lone wolf attacks by disgruntled Muslims (Center for Strategic and International Studies, 2011, p. 29).

The “Lone Wolf” paradigm would be a tough scenario for the U.S. The nature of terrorism is already tough enough to combat and the call to arms mentality that comes form this scenario is vey difficult to combat. I don’t think it is the worst are scenario by a long shot, but is likely the most probably until a significant event occurs where another organization rises to power.
