Explain whether you feel psychological disorders are universal or culture-specific. Do you believe that disorders such as schizophrenia, depression, and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder are universal? Why or why not? Include a minimum of one scholarly source to support your views.

1.       Describe how the portrayal of ethnic, cultural, or social groups by the media can influence social perception of those groups and perpetuate stereotypes.

2.       Analyze how subtle stereotyping in everyday language can affect the ability to bring about social change.

3.       Discuss the implications and likely consequences for society if prejudice and stereotyping are not reduced.

The terms stereotyping, prejudice, and discrimination are often used interchangeably, yet they have different definitions.

1.       Explain your understanding of each of the terms and support your explanation with scholarly resources. Do not simply post the dictionary definition of each term.
