legalization of marijuana.

I need help with GEN499 Final Research Paper

I have attached my annotated Bibliography.

The topic for my final research paper is the legalization of marijuana. I am very interested in knowing how legalizing it can benefit many people that are suffering from an illness and can benefit for medical purposes.

I am also very interested in learning how different States and its residents can benefit from the revenues obtained from the consumers of the recreational use of marijuana. Statistics from the States were recreational use has been legalized such as, Washington, California, Colorado, and the District of Columbia show that in one hand crime has decreased (even in medical states), and on the other hand, state revenues have thrived. For example, “Colorado took in about $2 million from the sale of recreational marijuana during the first month it was legal” (Lobosco, 2014).

On an academic level, I chose this subject because it does coincide with my intent to understand and become more knowledgeable of the culture I am a part of in an effort to provide the necessary and informative resources and guidance. My intention is to obtain a Masters in Library Science and become a Librarian in the near future.

Thesis Statement

There are approximately sixty-five million people using marijuana and many states have legalized the use of, but marijuana has been listed as an illegal narcotic for many years in the United States. With its physical, psychological, spiritual, but most importantly, medical benefits, many states have ignored federal laws and legalized it in one form or any. There is no proven scientific evidence to support it is addictive or deadly.

I have also attached final research paper requirements.
