case study related to traits

Suppose a person is born with a gene that causes lizard feet and this is caused by a single gene. Answer the following questions.

a. If a lizard-footed man married a normal-footed woman and all offspring have lizard feet is this trait dominant or recessive? b. If one of their lizard-footed offspring marries a normal footed person what does a Punnett square predict regarding the percentage of lizard-foot children compared to normal-foot children? In other words what percentage of their children should have lizard feet and what percentage should have normal feet? c. If two lizard-footed people had children and 75% of the offspring had lizard feet and 25% had normal feet what are the genotypes of the two lizard-footed people?

2. Two traits are of interest here. There are two fur colors in this problem where pink dominates green. There are also two forms of the tail: a furry tail dominates a naked tail. Mate two individual that are heterozygous for both characteristics and answer the following questions. a. What is/are the phenotypes of the 2 individuals? b. What are the odds of having an offspring that is green with a naked tail? c. What are the odds of having an offspring that look like the parents with respect to fur color and tail type?
