physiological and psychological aspects of perceptual functioning

On the Assignments page, accessed by clicking "Assignments" on the classroom left-screen menu, attach a document that describes in approximately 100 words a topic from Chapters 11-16 of the course textbook that you would like to address in your final course paper.  The paper is expected to incorporate both physiological and psychological aspects of perceptual functioning. An example of an acceptable topic would be "the role of expectation upon the sensory experience of olfaction."

Note: A very important aspect of this paper is that it must be about more than what is already covered in the course.  Chapter  summarizing and other course learning materials review is not the goal; instead, the paper must expand on a topic related to the course.

Ch. 11- Sound, The Auditory System, and Pitch Perception

Ch. 12- Sound Localization and the Auditory Scene

Ch. 13- Speech Perception

Ch. 14- The Cutaneous Senses

Ch. 15- The Chemical Senses
