Using Microsoft Excel, sketch a line graph of an extension or variation of an ABA design with hypothetical data (see examples on pages 169–175 in your Barlow, Nock, and Hersen text). This graph should effectively communicate quantitative relationships in a reversal design. Be sure to include all six components of a complete graph:

  • A chart title.
  • Both axis labels on the graph. (x-axis and y-axis).
  • Condition labels.
  • Phase change lines.
  • Figure caption.

Be sure that the data series represent dependent behavior consistently through the graph.

Assume that you have recorded data for a target behavior of either one individual subject or a group of subjects in a single setting to demonstrate the effectiveness of a treatment that includes a token economy system.

You will be submitting only one graph with a minimum of six phases for this assignment. Include specific labels about the behavior recorded and treatment phases. This assignment will continue in the next unit as you will be required to provide a detailed report of your hypothetical design. Refer now to next week's assignment to understand its requirements and how it may impact your graph this week.
