The People Group must be one other than their own.  Integrate your work with one of the primary sociological theories: Structural Functionalism, Conflict Perspective, Symbolic Interactionism References to write the assignment Module 4—European-based Cultural and Social Groups (2 Weeks) OVERVIEW Module 4 focuses our attention on European based cultural and social groups in an attempt to understand the differences in their experiences rather than to amalgamate all white people into one simplistic stereotype of Eurocentrism which is a popular way to create the racialized conflict in America between Black and White. We see how there are variations in culture and their immigrant experiences and the difference in the length of time they have been established in America. There are also vast differences in Southern and Northern Europeans, neither of which particularly align with British, Irish, and Scottish ancestral history of America that is often assumed when speaking about Whites. The module then moves to examine some theoretical concepts in relationship to white people in America including colonization, white privilege, classism, the American Dream, and The Protestant Ethic. The aim is to understand that there surely is some significant advantages to being white in America, but there are also difficulties and divergences from the normal stereotypes.
