Name the five subdivisions of the brain

please answer all questions. let me know if you have any questions.

1. Name the five subdivisions of the brain, indicating one structure that is present for each of the subdivisions. Furthermore, in this section of the course, various structures have been named and their respective functions described. So, indicate the subdivision of the brain in which you would find the following: suprachiasmatic nucleus (for sexual orientations), arcuate nucleus (for the secretion of GnRH), medial preoptic area (for male sexual behavior), ventromedial nucleus (for female sexual behavior), and putamen (for male and female orgasm). 2. Explain the causes and effects (outcomes) of the following with respect to the organizing effects of hormones: Turner's syndrome (XO), persistent Mullerian duct syndrome, congenital adrenal hyperplasy in genetic females (XX), and androgen insensitivity syndrome in genetic males (XY). Be sure to relate each to the topic of “organizing effects.” 3. Sexual orientation (heterosexual or homosexual) is hypothesized to have some physiological basis. Explain/review/summarize the evidence regarding the possible or hypothesized roles of the following (a) organizing effects of hormones (influences on bone growth), (b) genetics (concordance/discordance), (c) prenatal (maternal) stress, and (d) brain structure size differences. 4. Gonadal hormones have activating effects on sexual behavior. Describe the activating effects of (a) testosterone on males, (b) testosterone on females, and (c) estrogen on females. You can describe these effects for either rats, monkeys, or humans. 5. Summarize the roles of the medial preoptic area in male sexual behavior and the ventromedial hypothalamus in female sexual behavior, as well as describing the roles of two neurotransmitters or hormones involved in mediating the sexual behavior for each of the two sexes.
