real brain strain

his week's discussion assignment is a real brain strain! Try your hand at interpreting one of the "garden path" sentences below (remember that a garden path sentence is one that starts like it is going to mean one thing and then ends leaving you believing it means another). Don't worry if some of the sentences don't seem to make sense--you've been garden pathed!  In your initial forum post interpret the "garden path" sentence you selected. What is your interpretation of the sentence and how did you decide which meaning to pick?  In your answer include terms/concepts from the textbook to explain the "garden pathing" process.

Before picking a sentence to interpret read some of your classmate's initial posts first and try to pick one that hasn't been tackled.
