After you have selected a topic that you would like to research, you will develop and submit a Project Proposal. Before you begin creating your project, your proposal must be approved by the course instructor. You should compose the proposal in a Word document in paragraph form. Each section should be at least one paragraph (5-7 sentences). Include a cover page and reference page (in APA format) with your submission.

The proposal for your project must include each of the following:

  1. Statement of Purpose: State what you plan to accomplish with your project. Identify the intended audience for your project and the format you will use to share your project (PowerPoint presentation, blog, Prezi, iMovie, Publisher, YouTube, etc.).
  2. Rationale: State why you chose this project. How does this project fit into the broad area of education?
  3. Research Base: Describe the 3 to 5 scholarly journals, books, and/or articles you will be using for this project. What will you be looking for? What connection does your project topic have to current issues? What current issues need to be addressed within your topic? All resources should be scholarly and academic (course textbooks and peer-reviewed journal articles–accessed through Liberty University’s Library Research Portal). Citations and references should be submitted in APA format.
