to use their senses without becoming over-stimulated?

Question:

In your experience in your practicum site with infants and toddlers under 3 years of age....

Look for experiences children are having that foster their perceptual development.

-Are there about the right number of opportunities in this environment for children to use their senses without becoming over-stimulated? Is there enough stimulation? Does the environment lack appropriate stimulation?

-Observe infants and toddlers at play, and note how many times they mouth objects in their environment. Think about what they might be learning each time they put something into their mouths. How are these situations handled.

-How do you feel about infants and toddlers putting things into their mouths? Why do you think you feel this way?
