explore a particular topic in the history of psychology

Written Assignment 1

Look ahead to your final written assignment for this course - the Final Project. You will see that this research paper requires you to explore a particular topic in the history of psychology, whether it be a set of theoretical concepts or a specific debatable issue, such as “nature versus nurture”.

Each of your three written assignments are designed to help you get started on developing your Final paper.

For this first written assignment:

  • Choose a topic that interests you from the material we have covered in this course thus far, which includes anything addressed in Chapters 1-5 in your Schultz & Schultz text.

  • Write an Introduction (for your potential term paper) in which you define the topic and say why it is important to the history of psychology.

  • This Introduction should be 2 to 3 pages in length (double spaced, 12pt font, APA formatted) excluding title page and references. Please see the Course Calendar for important paper due dates.
