Purpose: The purpose of this assignment is to develop skills in applying theories and models of trauma counselling to a case study, and develop an intervention plan.  
Process:  Choose a character from one contemporary films that experiences a traumatic event. The character must be from a different cultural background to you. Create a case study based on the film Railway Man
Your case study will need to address: ï‚· a discussion on the evidence based treatment interventions recommended for the trauma the client has experienced. Include in your discussion both the theoretical and practice elements recommended in the relevant literature

ï‚· a discussion on the cross cultural counselling elements you would need to consider if you were to counsel the client

ï‚· a discussion of challenges or barriers you would face in counselling the client, including your current levels of experience, referral etc ï‚· reference to current literature and integration of relevant theory into your discussion
