Short Instructions: Submit an excel document that includes, at minimum: (a) made up data from ten people on at least four variables and one of the four variables MUST be calculated from at least two others, (b) For each variable, enter formulas to calculate your N, Mean, Mode, Median, Standard Deviation, Maximum, Minimum, and at least one correlation between two variables.

 

Full Instructions: This week, we're working with technology. To demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, you'll create and submit a document that highlights your ability to enter data and formulas. Your excel document must include:

  1. Ten Participants. You can make up names or simply number 1-10
  2. Four Variables: I don't care what these are, so just make something up that sounds fun or makes sense to you.
    1. One of the four variables needs to be calculated from at least two others. You can add, subtract, multiply, divide--it doesn't matter to me. Just demonstrate that you know how to do this with formulas.
  3. Statistics: Below each variable, calculate the N, Mean, Mode, Median, Standard Deviation, Maximum, Minimum, and at least one correlation between two variables. Again, do this using formulas--if you calculate the values by hand and input them, you will not receive credit.
