Comparing and Contrasting Theories

assignment 1 week 6

please go back to week 4 paper.

Application: Comparing and Contrasting Cognitive, Social-cognitive, Biological, and Behaviorist Theories

In Week 4, you compared and contrasted biological and behaviorist theories. This week, you will expand your assignment to include cognitive and social-cognitive theories. Your expanded assignment will demonstrate where specific theoretical assumptions and methodologies of these four personality theories not only overlap with some similarities, but also diverge into separate fields of personality theory.

To prepare, add the cognitive and social-cognitive theories introduced in Weeks 5 and 6 to the assignment you created in Week 4.

a completed assignment that includes these elements:

  • Compare and contrast the biological, behaviorist, cognitive, and social-cognitive theories
  • An explanation of the strengths and limitations of each
  • Apply the four theories to explain differences in the siblings
  • A discussion of which theory seems to make the most “sense” and why.
