Reply 1 Benjamin Cho Memory is a very interesting and important topic to consider while studying learning and how the human mind functions and it's ability to learn new information and retain it for later use. Ormrod states in her book that the way a piece of information is retrieved will affect the way that the same piece of information will be retrieved at a later time (Ormrod, 2012). This means that when learning something and having information safely stored in the brain, the way that it is remembered and retrieved from storage will affect later times when trying to remember and retrieving the same piece of information. This applies directly for many of the concepts learned in this course. For example, with the concept of reinforcement, if I was to learn the best ways to reinforce a good behavior and learn it, I would want to remember that same piece of information on a test at the end of this course. This means that I would want to be sure that the information was accurately and safely stored away in my memory for retrieval. I would want to take very good notes and review the material before taking tests in order to be able to retrieve it and use it on a test. This way, while taking the test, I could remember the way that I studied my notes before the test and more effectively remember the information. 1 Chronicles 16:15 says, "Remember His covenant forever, the word which He commanded to a thousand generations (NIV). God commands us to keep His Word by studying it and committing it to memory so that we can know how to live rightly in the world. The way in which Christians should live in
