to reduce prejudice and increase racial tolerance

Consider the comment on page 48 of the Schaefer text, paragraph 6, lines 1-3 which indicates that education does reduce prejudice, at least temporarily. Overall, Schaefer (2012) indicates that education does help improve racial tolerance (pg. 49, lines 1-3) of which prejudice is a fundamental characteristic. A criticism of education is that people learn to not be so open with their prejudice beliefs and discriminatory behaviors (Schaefer, 2012, p. 49, lines 9-10). Education is not a temporary fix at all, but is one of many prongs of attack that must be in place (Schaefer, 2012, pg. 48, paragraph 6, lines 4-10). What other things need or should be in place to provide a more comprehensive attack to reduce prejudice and increase racial tolerance?

Present your response in third person and leave out your personal opinion and experience; this also includes leaving out the experience of anyone you know. Use good APA citation and APA references. Do not include definitions.
