What other professions does appearance matter?

If appearance shouldn't matter, then could doctors and lawyers look different from the current standard and will be taken seriously? What if your new physician has marijuana leaves tattooed all over his or neck and had sagging hip hop pants; would you feel confident in his or her ability? Would that change your opinion of the physician? Would you trust this physician with your child? (I am just throwing out an example of how appearance does matter for some professions, doesn't it?) What other professions does appearance matter? Are there some in which appearance does not matter?
