"Feminism is not Sexism"

Hi there, I am writing a definition essay on feminism. I have to relate 'feminism' to something the general public feels strongly about. I am having trouble thinking of something to, in a way, 'compare' feminism to.

My prompt is as follows: choose an argument that develops a definitional claim of the form "X is (is not) a Y," where Y is a controversial term with a disputed definition. Typically, your argument will have a criteria section in which you develop an extended definition of your Y term and a match section in which you argue that your X does (does not) meet the criteria for Y. 

 

All I have come up with is "Feminism is not Sexism" but I'm not sure how to elaborate on that for pages on pages. I am working on my outline and Im stuck with where to start.

Any help is MUCH appreciated.
