Classmate comment. Hi Katy. I know a girl who experienced similar story like Louise’s, that I want to share. When she was about seven or eight years old, she faced sexual abuse that was perpetrated on her by her father. For years, she couldn’t remember anything specific, until she was an adult. When the memories returned, they felt like dreams and not real. After that, sexual abuse was in the forefront of her mind. She started having flashbacks and dreams about it. It was hard for her to accept those things as real and she started accept her memories as valid one day and deny them the next. She started to doubt does these memories ever occur.
