Disasters Disaster can be defned as the sudden event such as an accident or natural calamity that happens suddenly and it is diFcult to be noted unTl it happens, this disaster may cause massive distracTons and there high chances ±or loss o± lives. A Given disaster may be natural or man- made, Natural disasters includes disasters such as tornadoes, tsunamis, and earthquakes, while man-made disasters include leakage o± hazardous material, open ±orest fres triggered by man and much more. It is due to this disaster that the disaster management organizaTons working hard to reduce the risk o± upcoming disaster. ²here is no parTcular country that is immune to disaster but the level o± preparedness towards handling this disaster is what varies. History records that Man-made disasters are o³en caused by the negligence in the management o± the hazardous material. Natural disasters, on the other hand, are mostly due to change in weather such as tsunami and ´ooding or due to an internal movement which includes earthquake and volcanic erupTons. Human acTviTes cause the disaster which may cause thousands o± lives and while damaging a lot o± the property that adversely harms the economy. A good example o± such causes is extensive use or mishandling o± hazardous substance. One o± the-the deadliest disaster happened back in 1952 resulTng in the death o± 12,000 people and more than 15,000 people were hospitalized due to injuries. ²his was caused by extensive use o± coal to provide heaTng ±or their houses. ²he real cause o± this happening was explained by Dr. Renyu Zhang and his team answered this quesTon through their experiment. As per their results, Nitrogen dioxide converts sul±ur dioxide into the lethal sul±uric acid, this sul±uric acid causes suµocaTon killing 12,000 animals and thousands o± undocumented animals.
