1.       What was the French Revolution and when did it occur? (search using Google, Yahoo, and Dogpile)

After searching through all three search engines, they all seemed to have Wikipedia as their first and main source of information, after that on the search engine brought up the history channel. I decided to go with Wikipedia mainly because in my opinion they were able to best summarize the French revolution.

“The French Revolution was a period of far-reaching social and political upheaval in France that lasted from 1789 until 1799, and was partially carried forward by Napoleon during the later expansion of the French Empire. The Revolution overthrew the monarchy, established a republic, experienced violent periods of political turmoil, and finally culminated in a dictatorship under Napoleon that rapidly brought many of its principles to Western Europe and beyond. Inspired by liberal and radical ideas, the Revolution profoundly altered the course of modern history, triggering the global decline of absolute monarchies while replacing them with republics and liberal democracies.”

“5 May 1789 – 9 November 1799

(10 years, 6 months and 4 days)”

2.      Who is Keyser Soze?

Pulling my source once again from Wikipedia you will find that “Keyser Sözeis a fictional character and the main antagonist in the 1995 film The Usual Suspects, written by Christopher McQuarrie and directed by Bryan Singer.”

3.      What are the words to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr’s “I Have a Dream” speech?

For this question I have copied a link from the archives that will take you to a copy of his I Have a Dream speech. For this search I used both google and yahoo, and determined that this would be the best way to allow you to read all the words from his speech.

4.      Is the birthrate in the United States higher or lower than that in Brazil?

Based off of the Central Intelligence Agency websites fertility chart, in 2016 Brazils birth rate was 1.76 and the U.S was 1.87. Making the birth rate for the U.S higher than Brazil.

5.      What is the ecu?

How easy was it foryouto find the answers to the questions?

Finding the answers to these questions were pretty easy besides the last one “What is ecu?” I am not sure what that question is actually asking for.

Which search engine(s)did you prefer, and why?

I found that I preferred google, it is more organized and there aren’t as many advertisements going on.
