Gather Examples Gather several examples of the type of financial statement you  chose. Choose the best one to use in your  assignment.  3. Get advice. • Review the financial statement. Take  notes and add definitions for each area or  section. If you do not know what  something is, ask your professor. If the  numbers look off, discuss with your  classmates and professor. Design Phase Design the Visual Aid for someone new to  or intimidated by financial statements.  What should it include? Please include: • A real financial statement. • A definition or description section for each  section or area of the statement. • Add arrows or boxes connecting the  definition to the correct area. • Add any mathematical formulas one would  need to understand where the numbers  came from. • Add tips for new learners. • Add a "red flags to look for" section. • Add other information your instructor would  like to see.
