Read Part I of “Mead Meals on Wheels Center” on page 166 of your textbook, and complete Problem I and Problem 2.
Mead Mealson
Wheels Center (MMWC) provides two meals per day. The town of Millbridge pays MMWC $32 per week for each person a week. Each person received 14 meals for the week. MMWC services a maximum of 9,600 meals per day. It costs MMWC an average of $36,000 per week to operate the kitchen. The problem MMWC face is figuring out how much it can afford to spend per person, per week for food to supply the program. Food is MMWC only variable expense.
I must calculate how much MMWC can spend per week person on food and still break even. What do I do?
