Cooperative existence style is one of the not unusual values of Mongolia. Historically, nomadic families have mutual cooperation to share their common goods and resources against environmental risks, sharing workforce for taking care of their animals, for trading, and even for celebrating traditional events. The collective interests which were more important than the individual ones, was a main element in the Mongolian culture which largely determined the codes and rules for thought and behavior. Though the free market system that was adopted by the government in 1990 brought changes in the Mongolian cultural context which was based on individual needs. Non-public interests and achievement became extra critical than the collective pastimes of the organization and character development has precedence over the retaining of traditional group norms and regulations.

 

The Mongolian traditional values were formulated and established by nomadic culture and then progressively integrated with the world civilization. Sense of freedom is one of the traditional values of the Mongolian people which developed from nomadic life style settled in a big area with low population density. Due to some factors that affect human civilization and the advancement of technology, the  Mongols are becoming away from nomadic way of life as the empire took shape.
