Which one is more viable, employment or entrepreneurship? Employment and Entrepreneurship: Changing Paradigms(in General and Indian context)

AbstractThe focus of this paper was on entrepreneurship and paid employment. It assesses the dynamics,trends, and patterns of movement from paid internship to entrepreneurship. The global scenarioas far as entrepreneurship and employment is concerned is presented and later the scenario inIndia is brought out. The assessment shows that the employment rate, which is low and affectedby economic situation in the global arena as well as in individual countries, stands as a big factorthat affects movement from paid employment to entrepreneurship. In India, for instance, with apopulation of young energetic and innovative people who qualify to get into employment thattops 1 billion, entrepreneurship presents as one of the most viable options to start or advancecareers.
