(b) Fast Ethernet operates at 100Mbps, ten times as fast as 10Mbps Ethernet, yet the specifications for each list the same minimum frame size. Explain how this is possible.

(c) Suppose that a CSMA/CD network is to be run at 1Gbps over a 1-km cable with no repeaters. Given that the signal speed in the cable is 200,000km/sec. what is the minimum frame size for proper operation? (d) Estimate the efficiency of this 1Gbps-1km CSMA/CD protocol.
