You have been hired as a security consultant for a small engineering firm called Henson and Sons, LLC. The firm has not opened, yet, but plan on doing so as soon as you have finished (so, time is money). The network is a SOHO, but security is top priority.

(1)For this project, you will need to diagram the network with any resources that the firm may need. You may use the clip art resources in the Student Resources folder. The diagram needs to be detailed with workstations to accommodate four workstations, a fax machine, and a printer. They will need a firewall/router to connect to the Internet.

(2)The firm needs a security policy. The Network Security Policy must contain the following:

a. Authentication Policy- how users will identify themselves, logon names, password conventions, and any other authentication methods required.

b. Data Protection Policy- this will outline the policies for monitoring the network, backup procedures, virus protection, and recovery methods. You must be specific! If your network has any remote or wireless connections, security methodology must be added for this.
