According to the authors, bite marks are an important factor for the field of odontology when determine the "predator". Bite marks are being used since the mid of 1970s. Locating bite mark which the upper and lower teeth to leave a mark has made is unusual has made is depending on the location that is bitten or if the person was moving when they got bitten. Bite marks change over time on a person's body as a result of the skin may grow as the body develop. In a crime scene photographs, it is important to take from all angles of perspective of the bite marks or bruises since there is a high chance of bite marks or bruisers might change overtime. Forensic odontology uses scale and tools to record the information of the bite marks. It is important to know that bruises appear after four hours when the person has been bitten and 36 hours to disappear. If the person has already departed the forensic has to wait until the "lividity stage" starts to develop. Most of bite marks occurs in crimes of rape, child abuse, and homicide cases. There are seven kinds of bruises bruise or rub, sucking (hicky), laceration, avulsion of tissue and single tooth imprint. Nevertheless, in the case of Ted Bundy forensic odontologist use bite marks from two victims to identify Ted Bundy as the killer, Ted Bundy was a wise and intelligent person who did not leave any trace on any of his victims.
