Scenario - Tom

Scenario - Tom

Tom [5 years] has been exhibiting behaviour that is very unusual for him. Most of the time he has been choosing to play with only one child. This child is also 5 years old. If other children want to play with him or near him, he shouts at them to "go away". If they continue to play near him Tom shouts at them very loudly. Tom shows resistance to suggestions or directions from adults in the room, also shouting at them. His behaviour changes regularly. He will play quietly for several minutes, then will suddenly throw toys across the room or hit or kick other children.
