Assignment Objectives:
·        Define terrorism and homeland security.
·        List several response strategies for multicultural law enforcement when dealing with terrorism.
Purpose:Â Â It is important to understand ethnic, racial, gender, and lifestyle difference in order to be inclusive of minorities and to create a criminal justice system that serves everyone equally.
Assignment Description: Â
Answer the following questions:
1.      Define terrorism and homeland security.
2.      Discuss at least 3 response strategies for multicultural law enforcement when dealing with terrorism.  Make sure that these are multicultural strategies, meaning that they are inclusive of all ethnicities, races, genders, religions, etc. Focus on various community oriented policing strategies.  Keep in mind that political exclusion (such as not having a say in how policing is managed within one's community) is a likely precursor to radicalization (Choi & Piazza, 2014).
3.      Which of the strategies could you implement in your home town?  Why?
