The only thing i need is : Create one response per response with at least one source. :) PROMPT: Please introduce yourself to your colleagues! Where are you in the world? What is something interesting about you? Why are you taking this course / what do you hope to get out of it? The book talks about five sources of law. We arguably have more laws now than ever before. Why do you think this is so? Do you think it is necessary? Why or why not? Be sure to provide specifics and details, and include your sources. (For fun, if you can find an example of a strange, weird, or notable law, feel free to share it with your colleagues!) Response 1: Hello everyone, my name is Minnie McAdoo, I live in Los Angeles California,I'm a retired Foodservice Manger for over twenty plus years.I'm married with three adult sons. One of the interesting thing about me is going back to school to complete my bachelor degree in criminal justice , victim advocacy here at, Brandman University hopefully in the spring of 2018. This law class is needed to complete my degree and hopefully this class with help me to be more knowledgeable about, how our laws work. I am very happy to have the opportunity to get my bachelor degree ,which has always been one of my dreams . Yes, the text talks about the five essentially sources of laws: one Case law, two, Statutory Law, three, The United States Constitution , fourth, Administration regulations and fifth, Uniform Statutes. I think we do have more laws than ever before, as we all can see our society is constantly evolving with new technology taking over, such as the Internet, social media ,cell phone and people are getting more violent and committing more crimes ,we need these new laws to combat the crimes people are committing today. I definitely think it's necessary, we need these new laws, to protects our safety, and to ensure our bill of rights in the U.S constitution, that guarantee our basic freedom of speech, religion which are being challenge everyday; we also need laws to protect us from discrimination of race, gender, age and disability. It's very hard for me, to get use to the new law of Gender- neutral restrooms : AB 1732; Single-User Restrooms Laws (2017) the law regulating restrooms , some business have already put signs, own their single use restrooms designating use by other sex. I think the law is unnecessary and it ,diminishes us as a society, men and women restrooms should remain separate. I work for RTS/ Rock-Tenn and I'm pursuing a degree in paralegal studies. I'm excited about taking this class because I have always been interested in law. An interesting fact about me is I can play the violin and clarinet. I played competitively when I was younger. I really enjoy running and participating in marathons. I am going to start trading for the Spartan run in November with my older sister. The five sources of law are case law, statutory law, United States constitution, administrative regulations and uniform statutes. I think we have more laws now because life and society is more complex than it uses to be. Also, as a society we view situations differently than we did. Yes, I think it is necessary. In chapter one it said to think of law as a living thing. Living things change, grow and evolve. A law that was made back in the 1700s may or may not be relevant in 2000s.
